Thalapathy Vijay is currently in Hyderabad shooting for his upcoming film, Varisu. On August 15, the actor was spotted at Mahesh Babu's AMB Cinemas theatre watching a film. Reportedly, he watched Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's Bimbisara. The paprazzi clicked him while he was on his way back to the hotel. In the pictures, his driver can be seen shielding him from the paps.

THALAPATHY VIJAY WATCHES A FILM IN A HYDERABAD THEATRE

Thalapathy Vijay has been busy shooting for director Vamshi Padipally's Varisu. Recently, a scene from the film was leaked from the sets.

On August 15, Vijay decided to do something that he cannot even think of in Chennai. The actor visited AMB Cinemas and watched a film in the theatre. He was spotted wearing a blue shirt and black trousers for his day out. He covered his face with a face mask.

Yet, the paparazzi identified him and clicked pictures of him walking out of the theatre and inside his car. His driver can be seen shielding him from the paps by opening the sun visor.

LOKESH KANAGARAJ OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES FIRST COSTAR OF VIJAY IN 'THALAPATHY 67'

Lokesh Kanagaraj has raced to the top of the list of South Indian cinema after delivering the all time blockbuster hit movie 'Vikram' starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. He is now focussing all his energies on his next 'Thalapathy 67' that will reunite him with his 'Master' hero Thalapathy Vijay, music composer Anirudh and producer Lalit Kumar.

While the maverick filmmaker and his team are busy scripting 'Thalapathy 67' there have been reports that Samantha and Trisha will be playing the female leads while Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sanjay Dutt and Action King Arjun are said to be amongst the six villains.

Lokesh Kanagaraj in his most recent interaction has revealed that he has been a big fan of veteran actor Mansoor Ali Khan especially his body language, attitude and voice modulation. He revealed that he wrote the script of 'Kaithi' keeping in mind Mansoor but later the film became huge after Karthi headed the cast.

The 'Vikram' maker has officially announced that he has now written a strong role for Mansoor Ali Khan in his next (Thalapathy 67) and will finally get to work with him. He has however also added that he still has not spoken to the actor-politician but is hopeful that he will agree to the role.

'Thalapathy 67' will go on floors in the last quarter of this year and more hot updates are expected to come one after the other as the days go by. By far this is the film that has got the biggest hype amongst the upcoming Tamil films.

Karthi makes a big revelation about Kaithi 2 - check what he has said | Thalapathy 67

Karthi has been actively travelling to various cities across the country for the promotions of his upcoming film, Viruman which is set to hit the screens this Friday, August 12. The film will have a grand release and it will be Karthi's first release this year. Viruman is directed by Muthaiya who is known for directing movies like Kutti Puli, Komban, Marudhu, and more. Produced by Suriya under the banner of 2D Entertainment, the film features Shankar's daughter Aditi Shankar playing the female lead and the fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the refreshing pair together on-screen. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music for the film.

Earlier today (August 9), Karthi and Aditi Shankar met the press and media in Kerala to promote the film there and the actors were posed with several interesting questions. One such question was about Kaithi 2. When he was asked about the update of Kaithi 2, Karthi revealed that the film is surely happening, adding that it will go on floors next year once director Lokesh Kanagaraj completes his film with Thalapathy Vijay. Answering the question, Karthi replied, "I anticipated this. Kaithi 2.. we are planning it next year. Once Lokesh (Kanagaraj) completes Vijay sir's film, we will start".

Karthi's reply has now turned viral among the fans and has already garnered attention on social media. Kaithi is an important film in Karthi's filmography and following the release of Vikram, the fans have been eagerly looking forward to Kaithi 2. #Thalapathy67, the highly anticipated project that marks the reunion of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, is expected to be launched soon. A lot is being speculated regarding the star cast of #Thalapathy67, which is touted to be a gangster film. Now, the latest reports suggest that Fahadh Faasil is in talks to play a key role in the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer.

Arabic Kuthu, hit song from Vijay's Beast, crosses 200 million views on YouTube

Thalapathy Vijay's Beast, which was released in theatres on April 14, failed to live up to expectations at the box office. It also received largely negative reviews, with critics criticising the middling screenplay. The film, however, garnered attention due to the Arabic Kuthu song. The Anirudh Ravichander-composed peppy track has now reached a major milestone. Beast is an action comedy, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

ARABIC KUTHU MANIA IS STILL RUNNING WILD

While Vijay's Beast underperformed at the box office, Arabic Kuthu broke the internet with its catchy beats. The song has now crossed the 200 million views mark on YouTube. Sun Pictures wrote on Twitter that the video "hits the massive 200 million views". The production house also posted a video to celebrate the special moment.
