Samantha to team up with Vijay for 'Thalapathy 67'
Reportedly, the movie makers have approached Samantha asking to play the female lead role in the movie. On the work front, Samantha is now shooting for ‘Kushi’ with Vijay Devarakonda. She was last seen in the film ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’ and is now one of the most prominent and famous actresses of South. With Samantha giving continuous hits, the makers of ‘Thalapathy 67’ reportedly want her to play alongside Vijay for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s movie.
The previous film of Lokesh Kanagaraj – ‘Kaithi’ and even now ‘Vikram’ did not have a major role for the female lead in the story. Even in Vijay’s ‘Master’, the role of female lead played by Malavika Mohanan did not have a long screen time. So, with ‘Thalapathy 67’ having Samantha as the female lead, it is highly expected that the film will be much different from the previous 4 films of the director. Meanwhile, Vijay is now shooting for ‘Thalapathy 66’ and the second scheduled shooting of the film started in Chennai today, June 3.
